 PayPal PRO Website Payments Set Up

Step 1: Setup a Verified PayPal Business Account

If you don't have an existing PayPal account:
1. Go to PayPal:
2. Click Sign Up Today.
3. Set up an account for Business Owners.
4. Follow the instructions on the PayPal site.

If you already have a Personal or Premier account:
1. Go to PayPal:
2. Click the Upgrade your Account link.
3. Click the Upgrade Now button.
4. Choose to upgrade to a Business account and follow instructions to complete the upgrade.
5. If you haven't already, add a bank account to become a Verified member. Follow the instructions on the PayPal site. (This process may take 2-3 business days.)

Step 2: Apply for Website Payments Pro

1. Go to PayPal:
2. Login to your PayPal Business Account
3. Click the Merchant Services tab.
4. Click Website Payments Pro.
5. Click Sign Up Now.
6. Fill in your information, and submit your application. Approval takes between 24 and 48 hours.
7. Once approved, accept the Pro billing agreement. Check the Getting Started section on the upper left of your account overview page.

Step 3: Setup API Access

Under Account Information: API Access > Request API Credentials > Select “Request API Signature” > Click Agree and Submit.
You will see information like shown below, copy and save this information it will be used in your CRE Loaded admin to configure the Certified PayPal WPP module in Step 6.

API Username: xxxxxxxxxx
API Password: xxxxxxxxxx
Signature: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Step 4: Grant API Permission

1. Click "View or Change API Permissions."
2. On the Edit or Remove API Permission page, click "Add New Permission."
3. Enter API Username you were given in Step 4.
4. Select boxes to set API Access Level.
5. Click "Submit."

Step 5: Log into your CRE Loaded Admin panel

1. In admin home page on to the left side menu click Modules > click “Payment” > Now in center table locate “Certified PayPal WPP/Express Payment and click > In upper right of window click “Install”> Again in upper click “Edit” > Now set option values as listed below:

Enable Direct Payment:True
Debug Mode:False – only use to trouble shot problems if they occur
Live or Sandbox:Use live - when ready to launch
API Username: Comes From your PayPal user account
API Password:Comes From your PayPal user account
API Signature:Comes From your PayPal user account
Transaction Type:Sale; instant payment / Authorization; manual processing
Merchant Country:Select appropriate country; US
Sort Order of Display:Where on checkout payment page PayPal is placed
Payment Zone:Select your sales tax info
Set order status:Sets new order status; select your option
Set refund order status:Sets new order status; select your option

2. At the bottom of the window CLICK "Update"

Step 6: Enjoy your Certified PayPal Website Payment Pro Module
